So in order to solve this you would multiply 99 by .07 and get 6.93 so therefore you add the 6.93 to 99 and get 105.93 Then you add together all the bills wich is 120 and subtract 120- 105.93 wich equals 14.07 sot to answer your question John shall recieve $14.07 in change

Answer: $14.07

Explanation:

Given: The cost price of cell phone = $99

The percent sales tax= 7%=0.07

The amount of sales tax =
0.07*99=\$6.93

Now, the total paid amount of cell phone = Cost price +tax

Thus, the total paid amount of cell phone =
\$99+\$6.93

The total paid amount of cell phone =
\$105.93

The amount given by John to cashier=
6*20=\$120

Change received=
\$120-\$105.93=\$14.07
