Solution:

Given;

y=x^2-6x+5

The x-intercepts are the points where y=0.

Thus;

x^2-6x+5=0

Thus;

\begin{gathered} x^2-x-5x+5=0 \\ \\ x(x-1)-5(x-1)=0 \\ \\ x-1=0,x-5=0 \\ \\ x=1,x=5 \end{gathered}

ANSWER:

x=1,x=5
