Frank has two same size rectangles divided into the same number of equal parts. one rectangle has 3/4 of the parts shaded. and the other 1/3 of the parts shaded

Part A has many different answers, so as long as it can be divided by 3 or 4, that's the most parts that both rectangle can be divided into. Part B yes, there are many different possible answers in part A, and in order to find out the least number of parts that the rectangle could be divided is by determining the least common denominator of 1/3 and 3/4, and that would be 12, so it can be divided into at least 12 parts.
