Answer:

88 noodles.

Explanation:

We have been Mrs. Lau rolls 2 3/4 feet of dough to make noodles. If the noodles are 3/8 of an inch wide.

Convert 2 3/4 feet to inches by multiplying it by 12 as 1 feet equals 12 inches.

2(3)/(4)\text{ feet}=(2*12+12*(3)/(4))\text{ inches}=(24+9)\text{ inches}=33\text{ inches}

To find the number of noodles, we will divide total amount of dough by width of each noodle.

\text{Number of noodles}=33/ (3)/(8)

Convert division problem to multiplication problem by flipping the second fraction:

\text{Number of noodles}=33* (8)/(3)

\text{Number of noodles}=11*8

\text{Number of noodles}=88

Therefore, Mrs. Lau will make 88 noodles.
