How do you write 1 over 100 as a power of 10 with a negative exponent?

(1)/(100)=(1)/(10^(2))
A negative exponent switches the number to the other side of the line, so switch to the other side:

(1)/(10^(2))=\frac{1*10^(-2)}{}=10^(-2)
