The US Department of State is the branch of the Executive power in charge of overseeing all foreign relations. The Secretary of State is the leader of this entity and manages all of the diplomatic teams and embassies which operate around the world. Its purpose is to achieve the best level of relations with other countries in order to promote mutual development.
