D: initial milk quantity of Dante => D + M/4 Dante's quantity after Mia gave him 1/4 of her Milk

=> 3M/4 = 2(D + M/4)

You want the ratio M/D

3M/4 = 2D + M/2

3M/4 - M/2 = 2D

3M/4 - 2M/4 = 2D

M/4 = 2D

M/D = 4*2

M/D = 8
