The width of a garden is ( 4x -1 ) feet and the length is 2x feet. Find the perimeter of the garden.

P=2L+2L
P=2 (2x)+2 (4x+1)
P=4x+8x+2
P=12x+2
P=2/12 which reduces to 1/6
The Perimeter is 4
P=2 (4 1/6)+1 + 2 (2 1/6)
P=3 1/3+2/3
P=3 3/3 which = 3+1=4 that is the perimeter of the garden.
