Fat is a backup source of energy to fuel your body when carbohydrates are not there. Fat provides energy, absorbs certain nutrients, and maintains your core body temperature.

fat helps you, if you haven't eaten anything for a few days your body with break down the fats and eat off that for a while so you don't die of starvation automatically
