The answer is: an appeal to show that a higher power supports the idea.

An appeal to authority, also called “argumentum ad verecundiam”, is often considered a logical fallacy in which an argument is based on claiming that a given authority of the topic being treated supports the argument presented. However, some also consider it a sound argument when, in rough terms, both parties in an argument are in accordance as to the validity of the authority being evoked.
