I will pick the case of Tinker v. Des Moines. In this case, a group of students decided to wear black armbands to school in order to protest the Vietnam War. The school wanted them to remove these, and the children and their parents argued that this was a violation of free speech. The court sided with the parents.
If I were a Supreme Court Justice, I would have ruled in the same way. I believe that students and professors have the right to freedom of speech even when they are in school. Moreover, I think all Americans, regardless of their age, should have the right to peaceful protest, which is what the students were doing.
