HELP NOW PLSSSS

A pail of water is the same temperature as a lake. Comepare the amount of thermal energy of water in the lake and the water in the pail.​

The amount of thermal energy, the energy of motion of all the particles in a substance, will be significantly higher in the lake because the lake contains a massive number of water molecules and particles in comparison to the pail. Thermal energy accounts for the combined energy of every particle in a substance, and because the lake has way more particles than the pail, its thermal energy will be much higher.
