Answer:

A fable is a clear cut story, such as the fox in the vineyard (A fox goes into a vineyard, tries to reach grapes, but cannot. turns away and says he doesn't want them anyway because they are sour grapes, the lesson is we pretend not to want what we cant have.) where there is a clear and easily found moral or life lesson, an Allegory is a story with a meaning that is deeper and more complex like Animal Farm by George Orwell (a farm gets rid of humans and the animals turn to socialism, it slowly collapses, it shows the danger of Socialism.)

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope this provides some clarity.

a fable is typically a fictional tale that conveys a clear message such as don't do drugs or don't talk to strangers. However an allegory is a story that whilst still has a message, it typically requires more interpretation as the message is usually more obscure. An example would be the novel Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan, which is an allegory for the Christian spiritual journey.
