Many a times, it's easier to find a reason to delay action, a reason to wait or a reason to postpone our daily activities. Millions of life changing ideas and conceptions never saw the light of day because their owners just couldn't find the right time. What is the right time anyway? A mentor once told me, there is no right time, all you need is time, it's up to you to decide whether it's right or wrong. So basically, if you are willing enough, every time is the right time for you. While listening to Jim Rohn address a group of aspiring youth about a couple of days ago, I noted something important:
If you will change, then everything around you will change. Start by changing your mind. The things that are easy to do are also easy not to do. So do not neglect to do the easy things you can do. I noted that one can easily be successful in life by doing the simple things they know they can actually do well. By committing to these things and giving it the attention and consistency it deserves, you could actually make it. Unfortunately, it is easier to assume that certain things are just too simple to make us successful. So what do we do? we ignore them and keep looking for bigger opportunities. We keep hoping and waiting while missing out on the so called smaller opportunities.
