In which world region do hurricanes form? A. along the Equator B. near the poles C. only in the Atlantic Ocean D. only in the Pacific Ocean

Along the equator because it's warm.

the answer is A.  B doesnt work because the water's too cold near the poles for hurricane-like storms to form.  C doesn't work because hurricanes do form in the pacific ocean, they're just called by a different name (typhoons).  D doesn't work because hurricanes do form in the atlantic ocean
