What's the symbol for metalloid with 6 valence electrons? My question was to "Write the symbol for a metalloid with 6 valence electrons" and I'm a bit confused please help!

Te and Po are both matelloids with 6 valence electron.
How do you know?
Families (columns) are named after their valence electrons, so if u count 1A 2A 3A 4A 5A 6A 7A 8A (from left to right on the periodic table IGNORING the transition metals, the d block) when u reach the 6A family just look for the matelloids (most periodic tables show the matelloids)
