the rosetta stone was this piece of stone found that had a piece of a passage on it. however, it wasnt only written in one language. there were about 3 sections of it that were in different languages of the same passage. the biggest break through from discovering this was that it helped people better translate hieroglyphics, which was also one of the languages on it
