(a) What is the equation of the line, written in slope-intercept form? Show how you determined the equation. (b) Based on the linear model, predict how long Anika worked on the setup crew on the day the fair arrived at the fairgrounds, Day 0. Approximately how much did her setup time decrease per day?

y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y intercept

slope=rise/run
y intercept=where the line crosses the y axis

slope for 2 points that are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
see 2 points the line is on
(2,15) and (6,10)
slope=(10-15)/(6-2)=-5/4

y=mx+b
y=-5/4x+b
find b
(6,10)
x=6 and y=10
10=-5/4(6)+b
10=-15/2+b
add 15/2 to both sides
20/2+15/2=b
35/2=b

y=-5/4x+35/2

day 0 is when x=0
y=35/2
aprox 17.5

time decreased by 5/4 hours or 1.25 hours each time

a.
y= -1.25x+17.5
b. 17.5 hours initially, decreased by 1.25 hours each day
