To find the distance between two points we use the distance formula; (√(x-x°)^2+(y-y°)^2) :
let x= -6 and x°= -23 and let y= -14 and y°= 7
so,
√((-6--23)^2+(-14-7)^2)
=√(-6+23)^2+(-21)^2
=√(17)^2+(-21)^2
=√289+441
=√730
=27.0185
