My main OC is Azure Polaris, a grey petralyn with blue markings and a purple sweater. They are neutrally aligned, neither good nor evil, and have a love for technology and the creation and utilization of various electronic devices, which is a big part of why they work as a technoscientist.
Azure is a quiet and anxious individual that has a hard time in social environments, but for those who are close to them, they'll do everything in their power to make sure that their loved ones are safe and treated properly. This is because they lost their younger brother, Spider, to their former mentor, a petralyn named Nettle who was a respected magic user before the Chimera Crisis, and they are determined never to let something like that happen again.
If possible, they will avoid fighting, and tend to allow their opponents time to run away or correct things in hopes of preventing combat, unless they acknowledge that it may be the only option. Their usual battle strategies often lean towards indirect attacks and making use of speed and the element of surprise, and they will summon a large light rod which can be used like a staff or a spear, although they mostly use it to block, and occasionally to pierce, but rarely to throw. They may also summon daggers that they'll dual wield if the purpose truly is to injure their target. Their preferred offensive tactics involve summoning several light darts, which look like much smaller versions of their primary weapons (like quills or needles) that they'll fire as projectiles towards the intended target. They'll never kill anyone, since they still regret the situation with Spider, Nettle, Thorn, and Thistle, which is why they prefer the darts - The darts are usually non-fatal.
I originally created Azure at 2 AM on October 4th, 2022. I specifically remember that I was browsing songs to create a playlist for Nyx, another OC of mine, when I came across a remake/sequel of a song that I loved and listened to frequently back in fourth grade. This song is what inspired me to create Azure, and since then, I've grown very attached to them. The song also changed my hyperfixation, and Azure has been my drive to step outside of my comfort zone and explore things that I've avoided for years since a very personal traumatic event. Because of them, I've been rediscovering things I forgot about myself, finding answers to questions that have baffled me for quite some time, and healing from the bad experiences I had in the past. They do some bad things as a sort of vent outlet for me, and helping them overcome those bad things helps me feel better about things that I've been struggling with. Azure has become one of my biggest comforts in only a few months, and I love them very much. <3
