Use the rule of angle opposite, as 70° is opposite the 2x°

2x° = 70°

2x = 70

x = 70 ÷ 2

x = 35

Then, now stay well simples:

Use the rule of angle opposite as :

(3x + 5)° = (x + 3y)°

3.(35) + 5 = 35 + 3y

110 = 35 + 3y

110 - 35 = 3y

75 = 3y

3y = 75

y = 75 ÷ 3

y = 25

If you want to check the answer, to see if it is correct. The sum of the four angles must be 360 °

As y = 25 and x = 35

(x + 3y)° = 35 + 3 . 25

= 110°

Then,

The sum of the 4 angles will be:

360° = 2 × 110° + 2 × 70°

360° = 220° + 140°

360° = 360°

Ohhh, that's right!

This the answer to the your question.

x = 35

And

y = 25

Basically, you know a parallelogram has 4 angles which all add up to 360 degrees. (3x+5)+(x+3y)+2x+70=360 degrees. Just solve for x and y
