Can anyone please show me an example of how to divide a decimal? I'm not very good at dividing in general!

To divide decimal numbers:

If the divisor is not a whole number, move decimal point to right to make it a whole number and move decimal point in dividend the same number of places.

Divide as usual. Keep dividing until the answer terminates or repeats.

Put decimal point directly above decimal point in the dividend.

Check your answer. Multiply quotient by divisor. Does it equal the dividend?

It is like normal division so just take out the decimal and divide your numbers, then once your done put your decimal back in, you need to put your decimal where it was on the number you were dividing with, if you dont understand you can post the problem and i can solve it!
