I would say letter B. Why? When it was painted, the view with the wings folded of six panels allowed an individual to view both sides of the painting while inside and one painting from the outside.

Answer:

B) painted on inside to display when open, painted on outside to display when closed

Step-by-step explanation:

Rogier van der Weyden’s Last Judgment is an altarpiece, and it contains interesting features. It is an oil painting on oak, with some parts transferred to canvas. The altarpiece consists of 15 panels, and six of these panels are painted on both sides.
