1: they discovered all living things have cells by using the microscope

2: because all living things are made of cellular organisms in witch can not be grown in water or appear out of thin air

:3 nutrients are needed because living things use these nutrients to benefit and to be healthy as for a no living thing, like a basket ball or a car, they are not made up of cells or organisms but instead are made up of atoms
