The answer will be 14 because first you have to find the cost per pen to find this you do 6.25 divided by 5 and you get 1.25. Next you divide 17.50 by 1.25 and you get 14

Let's first find how much it is for one pen. So we'll divide the price of 5 of them by 5:
Now we'll divide 17.50 by 1.25 to see how many we can buy with $17.50:
So your final answer is
14 pens
