Although Brutus is considered to be the villain of this play, when you really think about it, you can find many good qualities in this character. Throughout the play, Brutus has wanted nothing but good for Rome, and he thought that Caesar wasn't a suitable leader to rule his beloved country. He remains consistent throughout the play - he doesn't hate Caesar, he kills him because he wants to save the country from doom. He does it with dignity, because he believes that Caesar deserved more than to be killed as if he were a nobody.
