A=12*6

72 is the answer

When you have two variables next to eachother, that means to multiply. So that's the same as


A=L*W

They give that
L = 12 and
W = 6

So now you plug
L and
W into the equation:


A=12*6

If you multiply
12*6 you get
72

So your final answer is 72!
