Linda pulls out a tie from a box containing blue, black, and red ties. She records the color and places it back into the box. The table below shows the frequency of each color after 100 ties are pulled out.

Number of Draws
25 20 55

How many red draws can you expect if the ties are pulled out 1,000 times?

Which one is the red ties that were drawed?

25 * 10 = 250
20 * 10 = 200
55 * 10 = 550

Above: Which ever one is the red one, that's what I think is the answer. Hopefully that helped! :)

Answer:

The number of red draws expected are 550.

Explanation:

We are given that,

Linda pulls out a tie from the box containing blue, black and red ties.

The frequency table for the different color ties after 100 ties are pulled out is,

Color Number of Draws

Blue 25

Black 20

Red 55

So, we get,

The probability of red colored tie being pulled out of 100 =
(55)/(100)

Thus, the number of red ties drawn out after 1000 ties pulled out =
(55)/(100)* 1000 = 550

Hence, the number of red draws expected are 550.
