1. y = 2/4x + 12 is linear because ur variables only have an exponent of 1...and there is no variable in the denominator.

2. point D = (-2,-3)

3.
A. (-2,-21)(6,-9)
slope(rate of change) = (-9 - (-21) / (6 - (-2) = 12/8 reduces to 3/2
B. 2y - 3x = 1.....2y = 3x + 1.....y = 3/2x + 1......slope = 3/2
C. (-13.-7)(-9,-4)
slope = (-4 - (-7) / (-9 - (-13) = 3/4
D. y = 3/2x....slope is 3/2
E. slope = 2/3

so A, B, and D all have a slope (rate of change) = 3/2
