Solve the equation for the variable. Show all work. 14 x – 21 = 49

First you need to add 21 to both sides. Then you'll have 14x = 70
Then divide both sides by 14 to get x by itself. The 14's cancel out and, by dividing 70/14 you get x = 5

14x5= 70

70-21=49
