Divide the figure into 2 rectangles. One being 12in x 13in and one being 18in x 7in. Find the area of each rectangle.
12in x 13in = 156in^2
18in x 7in = 126in^2
Add the two areas.
156 + 126 = 282in^2
282in^2 is the answer so (C)
