I am pretty sure that the sentence which uses the word ''them'' as an indirect object is the last one : d.The tour guide took them around NASA. As you know, direct object stands near the verb in order to point on the thing that being acted upon. Here is two main points : took-V, them-indirect object, as a recipient of the direct one.

Do hope you will find it useful.

Indirect object refers to whom or for whom the action is being done. It is a prepositional phrase in which the prepositions, for or to is understood without stating it. Also, the indirect object is placed between the verb and the direct object.

Hence, from the following sentence which uses the word 'them' as an indirect object is Leo sent them a postcard from NASA.

Sent- verb

A postcard- direct object

Them- indirect object.

Whereas, in the rest of the sentences, them acts as a direct object.
