Set up the equation:
12.25 = 2.50 + 13x
x represents the price of the softcover books.
Subtract 2.50 from both sides to get:
9.75 = 13x
Then, divide both sides by 13:
0.75 = x
So, one softcover book cost
$0.75
Hope this helped!! xx
