How to i add fractions? EX-3/6 + 1/6=4/? I really need help i forgot how to add them! Do i add the bottom or just the top?

To add a fraction lets use your example -3/6 has a negitave and 1/6 does not so that means that problem has to subtract and so 3/6 - 1/6 = 2/6 also if you need the 4/?  it would be 4/16
