Simplify: N + N + 1 + N + 2 + N + 3
Let the first integer be N. Then the four consecutive integers are: N, N+1, N+2, N+3

solve it like this. x + (x+1) + (x+2) + (x+3) = 286
4x + 6= 286
4x= 280
x = 70
70+71+72+73=286
