Open the brackets:

6x - 2x - 2 > 0

Subtract the like terms:

4x + 2 > 0

Add 2 on both sides of the inequality sign:

4x - 2 + 2 > 0 + 2

4x > 2

Divide by 4 on both sides of the inequality sign to be left with x :

4x/4 > 2/4

Therefore the answer is:
D) x > 1/2
