Let Ashley can text x words in 60 minutes. Then equation for x is,

$\begin{gathered} (60)/(45)=(x)/(60) \\ x=(60\cdot60)/(45) \\ =80 \end{gathered}$

Thus, Ashley text 80 words in 60 seconds.
