The second of three numbers is 6 times the first. The third number is 1 more than the second. If the first is decreased by twice the third, the result is -35. What are the numbers?

1st number: 3

2nd number: 18

3rd number: 19

Explanation:

let 'f' = 1st number

let '6f' = 2nd number

let '6f + 1' = 3rd number

f - 2(6f + 1) = -35

f - 12f - 2 = -35

-11f - 2 = -35

-11f = -33

f = 3
