4.7x=2.5x+8.8.....plz help me I don't like math

answer is 4
#1 subtract the 2.5x and bring it to the other side (4.7x-2.5x=2.2x)
#2 then to get x by itself you divide both sides by 2.2 (2.2x=8.8/2.2)
#3 you get x by itself (x=4)

To solve for x,

4.7x = 2.5x + 8.8
minus 2.5x from both sides:
2.2x = 8.8
divide both sides by 2.2:
2.2x/2.2 = 8.8/2.2
simplify:
x = 4
