when your giving personal information and its in public people that you don't know will know the personal info you gave and sometimes the people will hack or look for you.so its better to give it to a specific person that you can trust

So people can clearly understand the emotion and hear concern or sympathy. If it were through email or text messaging, people would not feel/hear any emotion.
