The 6th Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to a speedy trial, a fair jury, an attorney, and the possibility to confront the witness who is accusing him/her.

Also, the 6th Amendment assures the criminal defendants the right to be given notice of the nature and cause of accusations against them.
