For number 1, use the fact that an equilateral triangle (all sides the same length) has all 60 degree angles. This means that angle 1 is 60 degrees

For number 2, use the facts that an isosceles triangle has two equal angles corresponding to the equal sides and that angles of a triangle add to 180 degrees.
This means x+x+38=180
2x=142
x=71
Final answer:
1) 60 degrees
2) 71 degrees
