Answer:

The range of the function is {24,18,12,6,0}

Explanation:

Given : The range of the function
f(x)=12-3x for the domain {-4, -2, 0, 2, 4}.

To find : What is the range ?

Solution :

We have given the domain of the function so to find range we have to substitute the value of x i.e. domain,

f(x)=12-3x

For x=-4,

f(4)=12-3(-4)

f(4)=12+12

f(4)=24

For x=-2,

f(4)=12-3(-2)

f(4)=12+6

f(4)=18

For x=0,

f(4)=12-3(0)

f(4)=12+0

f(4)=12

For x=2,

f(4)=12-3(2)

f(4)=12-6

f(4)=6

For x=4,

f(4)=12-3(4)

f(4)=12-12

f(4)=0

So, The range of the function is {24,18,12,6,0}
