since both equatl y set them equal toeach other
8-x=y=4x-7
8-x=4x-7
add x both sides
8=5x-7
add 7 to both sides
15=5x
divide by 5
3=x
sub back
y=-x+8
y=-3+8
y=5
the solution is
(x,y)
(3,5)
