Distribute the negative through the second set of parenthesis.
-2x + 10 + 6x - 5y - 12 + x + 8y - 16
Gather like terms
-2x + 6x + x -5y + 8y + 10 - 12 - 16
5x + 3y -18

Answer:

The equation after solving and rearranging the expression is

5x+13y=-6

Explanation:

This problem bothers on how well will understand our algebraic expression with multiple variables

Now with the expression

(-2x + 10) -(-6x + 5y + 12) +(x + 8y -16)

Firstly let's us open up the bracket and equate the expression to zero

-2x + 10 +6x + 5y + 12 + x + 8y - 16=0

Rearranging/collection of like terms

-2x+6x+x+5y+8y+10+12-16=0

5x+13y+6=0

5x+13y=-6
