How should the punctuation in this sentence be changed, if at all?

The dog's coat was matted, yet he looked very clean.

A. NO CHANGE

B. The dogs coat was matted, yet he looked very clean.

C. The dogs' coat was matted, yet he looked very clean.

D. The dog's coat was matted; yet he looked very clean.

I would go with answer choice A, no change. Both B and C are incorrect because the sentence is only talking about one dog. A comma would be chosen over a semicolon because "yet" is a conjunction. Hope this helps.
