For figure 1:
Area of shaded region = 80/360 x π x 9^2 = 56.55 square cm

For figure 2:
Area of shaded region = 120/360 x π x 7^2 - 120/360 x π x 3^2 = π/3(49 - 9) = 40π / 3 = 41.89 square cm
