Use the commutative property of addition and the distributive property to write an equivalent expression to −1/2(2x+6) .

Please enclose the fraction (1/2) in parentheses to eliminate any ambiguity.

Simplify -(1/2)(2x+6). Hold the '-' sign. Multiply 2x by (1/2) and then 6 by (1/2). Simplify your result (which should be written inside parentheses). Now write the '-' sign in front of your parentheses.

If you wish, change both signs within the parentheses to '-'. Show your work.
