because they are vertical angles, they are also congruent.
so set an equation and let them equal to each other
4y - 8 = 79 +y
and now solve for y

Since they are vertical angles, and VERTICAL ANGLES ARE CONGRUENT, set them equal to eachother.
4y-8=79+y
3y=87
y=29
