36 students each went to one revision class.

1/6 of the students went to the physics revision class.
2/9 of the students went to the biology revision class.
All of the other students went to the chemistry revision class.
How many students went to the chemistry revision class?

Final answer:

By calculating the number of students who attended the physics (6) and biology (8) classes and subtracting from the total number of students (36), we find that 22 students attended the chemistry revision class.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find out how many students attended the chemistry revision class, we first calculate the number of students who attended the physics and biology classes. With 36 students in total:

  • Physics: ⅖ of 36 students = × 36 = 6 students.
  • Biology: ⅔7 of 36 students = × 36 = 8 students.

Adding the number of students in the physics and biology classes:

6 (physics) + 8 (biology) = 14 students.

Since all the other students attended the chemistry class, we subtract this number from the total:

36 (total students) − 14 (physics and biology) = 22 students went to the chemistry revision class.

(Sorry, I'm not really sure about this problem. But If I were you I would probably add 1/6 + 2/9 to see how many student in total did not go to the chemistry revision class. I'm terrible at math, sorry I couldn't help that much.)
